Color Me Courtney: January 2011

Greetings viewers!

Let me begin by saying happy new year!! And by apologizing for my lack of blogging. With the holidays and studying for the GMAT I have had rarely any free time.

Because I new I would be busy for the first few weeks of January, I decided to allow my new year including, my new years resolutions to officially start on the 15^th. One of these resolutions is to post on one of my blogs, weekly (www.itsmecourtneyleigh.blogspot.com). Although blogging weekly will be a big step for me (I suck and do not blog as much as I should :[ ), my bloggerlution (blog resolution) does not end there. Not only do I resolve to blog each week, but also, to become the best blogger I can be (do not make fun of me…).

How do I intend to become the best blogger I can be? Well I am glad you asked because I have actually created a list rules for me to abide by so you will no what to expect each time you tune in :) !! I call them … (drum roll please) BLOGSPECTATIONS (blog+expectations, sorry I really love adding blog to other words… it just makes me so happy!!!!)

WEEKLY BLOGSPECTATIONS:

I Courtney resolve to …

1. blog weekly on at least one of my two blogs

2. respond to any and all comments and or request weekly

3. and hunt for now Bloggspiration (blog inspiration … okay that was the last one I promise … :) … )

MONTHLY BLOGSPECTATIONS:

I Courtney resolve to …

1. do at least one challenge or dedication week a month (remember the animal instinct outfits or the 20 day fashion challenge at the beginning of my blogging days)

2. dedicate at least one day a month to the color of the month (Color of the month is a new thing I am deciding to do for 2011, each month I will pick a color do one monochromatic outfit in that color as well as a few outfits that emphasize or compliment that color well … I will post all of these for you to see… if you have any ideas for January’s color, send them my way because I have not yet decided!! More information to come when I do this first post!))

3. Provide challenges and looks for you to try and post anything you send me that is blogworthy (okay, that was the last one)

4. I resolve to post a Celebrity vs Courtney post (a post where I battle it out with a celebrity over a top trend and you guys vote to tell me who wore it best, be honest … more information to come when I do this first post!)

Person Goals…. (I need your help here)

1. Meet my audience: I have some people who have hit the ‘follow’ button on my blog, and others who have just told me that they occasionally read but I would really like to get a better idea of who is listening out there. I would love if you readers would make an account and push the follow button so I can know who I am writing to :)

2. Become more interactive with my audience: I want you guys involved so I would love it you would leave comments, questions or suggestions about new or old ideas. If you want me to try a trend, make an outfit or attempt some challenge you impose upon me, I would love to participate. I promise I will fulfill reasonable request! Also I would love if you guys sent me pictures of things you are wearing!!! If I love them I may mimic or post them on the blog :)

3. Try new things: I am often wearing the same colors, the same styles and the same clothing in general, but now I am going to try and step out of my comfort zone and take risks! I would love your help, support and ideas to assist me in pushing my boundaries.

4. Vote! On things like celebrity vs Courtney I need you guys to weigh in, please and thank you!
