Mad Dash to Class

Heres some tips for those sleep-through-your alarm mornings that leave you in a mad dash to class, or just for when you are just feeling lazy and want to wear something comfy and cozy. Please, please, please don't reach for your sweat pants, I promise you a dress can be just as comfy and there are other easy ways to look chic while still feeling comfortable!

Sassy Sweater

A trick to looking stylish even when you are wearing basic pieces is to use bright colors to make a simple outfit seem complicated! Also you can always add a accessory, like a patterned scarf, it makes the outfit look effortless, yet completed all while playing with proportions.

Sweater: Gap. Scarf: Leopard, Top Shop. Skirt: Black BodyCon, Forever 21. Boots: Ridding Boots, Nicole. Black Tights: Capezio. Jewelry: Kate Spade.

Stripes on Stripes

Another tip for enhancing simple looks is to play with pattern. Wearing a pattern or even pairing two prints together creates the illusion of complexity and therefore makes others think you've put more effort into your look! Play around with a few of the printed pieces in your closet to see what looks good together so you can turn to those in rushed mornings.

Dress: Black and White Striped "Pull On", Forever 21. Cardigan: BP, Nordstrom. Tights: Capezio. Boots: Nicole. Jewerly: Kate Spade. Belt: Black Patent Bow, Kate Spade.

OMG
I always have "OMG" outfits set aside for mornings when I'm running out the door, that way I can just jump into something chic and not regret my outfit choice as the day goes on! The outfits above would make perfect OMG pairs for always rushed life of a college kid.
