May the 4th be with you

4th May 2012

for all you geek chic gals out there (and guys) this ones for you…
Today I am wishing you a happy may 4th by combining two of my favorite things: fashion and Sci-Fi geeky movieness, yay! But don’t be turned away if Sci-Fi isn’t your thing, read on for some tips & tricks with maxi dresses!

Princess Leia is the Queen B of the series, so of course we are celebrating her and her style choices today!
She may be a fictional character, but her style is anything but. She can be seen rocking a white jump suit or a long flowy gown by turning the galaxy into her own fashion show. Although her look is iconic, a costume isn’t function for today’s fashionista, but she can take a fashion tip from the lovely leia…

Topshop $50, Oasis $95, Witchery $50, Sandro Raspoutine $340, James Perse $170, TopShop $92, Top Shop $100
No matter your style, anywhere can wear a white maxi, here are a few ways to do it!
I hope you enjoyed these starwars style tips from our lady Leia, and that you all have a wonderful May 4th!

lady in red

3rd May 2012

Hi dolls, despite my blogger break, I had a few free moments to blog today so I thought I’d share my outfit for the yesterday, as the lady in red.
If you are thinking thats a lot of red, you’re right! I’m painting the day red in a monochromatic outfit! Here’s how I wore it…

Monochromatic looks were super on trend for fall 2012
But I always love dressing in head to toe color.
Although a little red goes a long way, so I offset that with pops of turquoise.
I’m certainly not the first lady in red, check out a few more stunning ladies in vibrant hues.
If you are thinking of shocking and amazing in a h2t one color look, here are some monochromatic tips tricks and words to dress to by….
Shirt: Banana Republic. Pants: Mandy Pants, Kate Spade (red in stores, purple & black) (look for less or here). Blazer: Robinsons. Earrings: Gum Drop Studs in Turquoise. Idiom Bangles, Kate Spade. Necklace: Kenneth Jay Lane. Shoes: Medugorje pumps, John Fluevog.

Study Break

1st May 2012

Pause… I’m feeling a little overwhelmed…
As some of your may know, or have noticed, I try to blog everyday and at the very least 4-5 days a week! Although I never take a break from fashion, I may be taking some time off from blogging for the next few weeks.

It is crunch time at school and my MBA course load is taking up all of my time! Plus I am still working 25 hours a week and tackling my two internships, yikes! So please forgive me if I am slightly out of touch for the next two weeks, I promise I’ll be back soon! :]
I will try to post as much as I can! Even if I am not blogging, I will post outfit pics on instragram (courtney_fowler) so make sure you are following! I’ll also tweet style tips and tricks, so follow via twitter to stay fashionably connected, yay!
And for all of those busy bees (like me), this is for you!
