As a kate spade shop stylist, I am usually the one behind the scenes and styling clients … but yesterday, the tables turned when I styled and modeled for style spy: a segment on kate spade’s blog “behind the curtain”! and today i’m sharing some of the highlights! take a peek!
before you go…
pop by the blog for the full post!
although i was lucky enough to style my looks & star in the shoot, all photo’s, products and images belong to kate spade and the photographer. the collages were created by me using the original kate spade photographs pulled from the style spot blog post as featured on the blog.
today i pair pretty pastel prints with a little bit of pattern.
i’m loving lilac this season! try pairing lavender with seafoam or navy!
if you’re mixing prints, choose two tone patterns that both use white. doing so will preserve the whimsy of pattern mixing without taking the look over the top.
today i’m taking a break from my signature over-the-top style to bring you a more simplistic side
a chambray shirt can be your go to piece for any season, but specifically spring & summer.
i gave mine a flirty side by paring it with a full & girlie skirt to dress up the denim, but stuck with simple sandals to keep the look classic & casual.

ps. meet my nyc bestie channing, she is pure perfection…
sometimes, zest is more! so i’m beyond excited to show off my new lemon shorts (yes, lemon printed shorts) in today’s bright && summery post.
a little bit of yellow can go a long way, but today i opted to double up on this bright hue with two different patterned yellow pieces. i’m especially loving the mix of the two flowers && lemon prints, it simply screams spring!
who wears short shorts? if you do, try pairing it with a solid oxford shirt, the exposed legs in contrast with the conservative sleeves make the outfit more interesting! try tying your top to expose just a little bit of skin to make the look flirty without exposing too much.
