Today we’re talking all about stripes, sharing my favorite summer pieces in this pattern & gushing about a go-to color combo of mine. OH and if that isn’t enough, I’m also styling my favorite denim culottes for ya! so let’s do this!
Of all the patterns out there, stripes might be the easiest to wear! Even those who don’t do pattern, usually dabble in something stripe. Black and white is the usual default here, but if you’re looking to set out of your comfort zone try a blue and white stripe for something simple yet bold.

Here are some of my favorite blue & white stripe styles:
When styling stripes, a pop of color is usually key. I like to brighten things up with a bold lip or a statement shoe – in this case, I double dipped into the color poor to pair this blue and white stripe top with red shoes & a red lip.
Blue and white doesn’t have to stop with a stripe. It’s one of those go-to color combos that looks good on everyone, all year around, but it especially shines in summer. Try dabbling with different hues, like a baby blue with tomato red, or dark red with cobalt for something a little bit unexpected, without being too out there.
Behind the Blog:
These shots were taken during a day in SoHo. Although we live in the village / meatpacking area we spend most weekends eating, shopping and shooting in SoHo. It’s not really an area where we would lie to live, but we enjoy walking there almost every Saturday and it is full of shooting locations! During this shot, we ran into Andre 3000, he looked and me, looked and Paris and then gave us a thumbs up and Paris almost lost it. Paris cares about maybe 2 celebrities, Andre is one of them, so it was really cool that he got to meet him – I guess that’s just part of the magic of New York City! // shots at Sarabeth’s Soho
