today’s post features twirl worthy tulle for two as waffles joins me in a sparkle statement look.
I pair a tiny bit of tulle with sparkly steps && basic black for girlie glam!
fun fact: my belt is my mom’s from the eighties!!! she wore it over leotards while jazzercizing! (seriously! i couldn’t make this stuff up! but let’s hope she accessorized with leg warmers && a side pony). i love raiding her old closet for past treasures! that’s probably why i’m a secret hoarder (well not so secret anymore), because i’m afraid my future child may want to wear whatever i get rid of!
This season, try layering a statement necklace over your turtle neck! It can be an easy way to slim you down while adding some unexpected sparkle! I also like to layer my arm parties over long sleeve shirts!
for this look, all you need is faith, trust and a little pixie dust… oh, and a sprinkle of kate spade whimsy && a dash of j.crew amazing-ness doesn’t hurt either.
i was feeling a little bit magical today! so i channeled my child-side for a tinker bell inspired look!
i tried to do j.crew justice by pairing my sequin shirt from a few holiday seasons ago (luckily they redo similar versions every year) with my crew cuts (embarrassing, i know) layered tulle skirt && pops of sea foam!
&& as always, piled on the accessories that included girlie pearls and bits of bling to bring a slight twinkle.
i am now completely smitten with my new sparkly loafers so much so they inspired me to dance my way into todays ballet inspired outfit.
never underestimate a baby pink — it is always fun to be bold && bring with a neon or shocking pink, but sometimes a pale ballerina pink can still make an outfit statement!
short girls, here’s a tip — use your hair for height! whenever i wear flats, i like to wear my hair in a high top knot for an extra few inches. in this case, the bun also works with the ballerina theme.
