French Kissing in the USA

10th May 2014

It appears I’m a bit culturally confused:
Parisian hat, Union Jack and very american ripped jeans… oh my!
Spoiler alert –  I may or may not also through up a super awesome peace sign (asian tourist style) at the bottom of the post…. please try to contain your excitement.

My OOTD:
Hat: Vintage via Merchant Square in AZ
Top: Stripe Ponte Tee in red by Joe Fresh (also in black & white)
Shoes: Kate Spade Red Bow Marie Heels (old – similar here for $50)
Jeans: 7 dollar Steal from Wet Seal last summer (similar here)
Bag: Kate Spade Summer House Robbie Bag (old)
This post title was inspired by this awesome 1986 jam by Debbie Harry, it’s basically playing on repeat in my head while I write this post. I also love the lyrics plastered on this hilarious sweater by Zoe Karssen (also here). All this red, white and blue action makes me think of Zooey Deschanel and her new collection for Tommy Hilfiger – To Tommy, From Zooey. Knowing my love for Zooey and my previous role at Tommy Hilfiger, I can’t believe we have’t talked about this yet, I’ll have to do a featured post on the line soon (until then, shop here!)
These photos were taken on greenwich ave, one of my favorite drags in the West Village by my good friend, international photographer and favorite Tea date Claire Eliza. After which we promptly stuffed our faces with scones and filled our bellies with hot tea poured from a pot with the Queen’s face on it at my the most darling little tea spot, Tea and Sympathy.

I love paris in the rain

23rd August 2013

a little summer shower calls for bold stripes, a pop of color and spending the day with a hansom frenchman.

bubble umbrellas are perfect for nyc! i first fell in love with them on an episode of gossip girl and have been obsessed ever since! you can cover your head completely while still being able to see where you’re going! and there are closer and therefore less obnoxious for sharing the sidewalk.
peter pan collars were all the rage last fall, and even this spring! If you picked up one of these darling blouses, try layering it under your favorite dress for a pretty Parisian look!
dress: bcbg (love this one, this one on sale and this summery one for only $24) // top: kate spade (worn under dress) //  trench: h&m // belt: kate spade // shoes: tory burch // poppy // sunnies: karen walker // umbrella: kate spade  (love this one) // bag: moschino // ring: vintage // kate spade  // arm party: idiom bangles //kate spade  // j.crew
incase you didn’t know, i took this post title from the lyrics in this long. beware, it’s very catchy and i sing it all day everyday every time it even sprinkles!

parisian party

1st November 2012

today’s look is kate spade party perfection with a pop of parisian chic.

this striped celina dress is a girl’s best friend, everyone woman should have something like it hanging in their closet to dust off && wear for a special event … or just a wednesday.
ladies, believe in the power of layering. i took the dress from classic to quirky with a quick pop of my peter pan collar that reads “all the girls are mad” in french.
this look is 99% kate spade for a brand fan head to toe look, where the fun red && polka dot accents work as this outfit’s final touches for the perfect parisian party.
top: kate spade (on sale) // dress: kate spade // shoes: kate spade (30% off) // purse: kate spade // sunnies: miu miu // rings: kate spade // wire wrap (design your own!) // francescas // arm party: sequin // kate spade (similar) // sequin // kate spade idioms x3 (old) // michael kors // kate spade // vintage // pearls // j.crew
