ladies in red

14th January 2013

So like many of you, i spent last night watching the golden globes and found myself dazzled and inspired by all of the runners in red!

take a peak at some of my favorites…
so i was inspired to create red dress outfits for any occasion or style, here we go…inspired by zooey deschanel, this classic with a twist look is one of my favors! it’s perfect for a girlie girl on a day date or even meal with girlfriends, the pops of dusty blue keep it young and fresh while the pearls & pavé dress it up a bit!

the sophisticated lady is always tailored and sleek, but adds an element of edge with a bold bangle and striking clutch. with this look, she can add a blazer to take this look to the office or let down her hair for  happy hour!
this look is one of my favorites, the girlie girl with a flirtatious side keeps things fun & fabulous with a little lace, sparkle accessories and a fun clutch. i would wear this to a valentines soiree or even a girlie night out!

edgy ellegance isn’t quite my style, but i would love to dazzle in this dress for the day. the gold accessories, vintage inspired earrings and detailed skirt bring the drama and are sure to be a show stopper!

love love love this one! this minnie mouse inspired bright & bubbly look is perfect for a day of exploring, shopping or even a special birthday party!

edgy gals wear red too! just deep, dark, blood red paired with stand out studs and a bit of black!

girlie girs pair bows with gold but also may want to add a pop of color! with mint being the “it color” this year, she can stay on trend and true to herself in this girlie glam look!
stepping out to somewhere fabulous? well bring the drama by dripping in diamonds and a floor length gown! but keep them guessing with your sense whimsy by adding an unexpected book clutch, and you’ll be the bell of the ball!
i wanna know… which look are you coveting the most? tell me, tell me!
until next time…Photobucket

spotted in spots

8th January 2013

spots on spots on spots: today i pair leopard print with my go to polka dot!

forget what they say, i believe leopard is a neutral so it must be true! don’t be afraid to mix it with unexpected colors && patterns, you’ll end up looking like the cats meow.
hold the phone! && check out my new (old) favorite earrings. i picked them out at the cutest hole in the wall vintage store, they belonged to a little lady based out of south carolina with a big personality and even bigger sense of style! she worked for a telephone company && i ended up picking up about half of her jewelry collection which included watermelon earrings && a giant giraffe brooch.
if you’re ever on the hunt for hidden treasures at a vintage store, ask about your purchases! they shop owners sometimes know tidbits about the previous owner && you’ll love them so much more
a little red can go a long way, but i decided to wear a lot of it to make a big statement. oh && don’t let a chill in the air discourage you from wearing your favorite peep toes, just pair them with a matching colored tight (black on black is your safest option) && make them work for winter!

Life’s a Picnic.

20th August 2012

Today I’m crushing on another outrageous color combo.
… and channeling my passion for picnics into a perfect little outfit for all of your outdoor eating needs.

I la-la-love picnics! Unfortunately, being the busy bee I am, I rarely get to stop and smell the roses, let alone enjoy a fabulous little picnic, but that doesn’t stop me for dressing like I can!when I think picnic, my mind goes straight to gingham, but checks are not necessarily necessary for a picnic inspired summer look! Try other patterns two like perfect polka-dots to give you that dash of afternoon whimsy. Did I mention I absolutely adore this spotted skirt? It’s comes custom sized from KTR designs & I couldn’t be more smitten, take a peek!
When creating a look based on a color crush, get creative! If you need a red/orange shirt but your closet isn’t providing one, look to your dresses for the solution! Here I turned my dress into a shirt by tucking it into my spotted skirt before layering up with the cardie.

Denim Darling

16th July 2012

Dare to take your denim for dull to dashing…
Everyone has (or should have) a denim button down in their closet, but just because this piece is a basic doesn’t mean the look has to be ordinary as well!

Denim is a classic! But it does not have to be worn in simple and casual ways!

Giving your denim a much needed girlie make-over can be super simple, just spice up your look with fun pops of color or flirty accessories.
instead give your jean a girlie make over with fun pops of color or flirty accessories. Try bows, leopard and the color red, these classics never go out of style but breathe life into any otherwise boring look.
Shirt: Banana Republic // Skirt: H&M (old) // Shoes: Kate Spade // Scarf: Topshop (similar) // Red Flower // Arm Party: KSNY Idiom Bangles // J.crew Pave Link // KSNY Lady Maramalde // KSNY Bow Ring // Forever 21 Ring.

The celina dress is such a classic, stand-out piece to add to a wardrobe!

Last time you saw the striped Celina, I was channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn in audrey-esuqe.
But this time I wore my celina dress with an unexpect-red pop of color, with bright punches of red with the accessories and throughout the look!

lady in red

3rd May 2012

Hi dolls, despite my blogger break, I had a few free moments to blog today so I thought I’d share my outfit for the yesterday, as the lady in red.
If you are thinking thats a lot of red, you’re right! I’m painting the day red in a monochromatic outfit! Here’s how I wore it…

Monochromatic looks were super on trend for fall 2012
But I always love dressing in head to toe color.
Although a little red goes a long way, so I offset that with pops of turquoise.
I’m certainly not the first lady in red, check out a few more stunning ladies in vibrant hues.
If you are thinking of shocking and amazing in a h2t one color look, here are some monochromatic tips tricks and words to dress to by….
