Marketing Monday: Flapper Flair

Everyone is familiar with the classic novel: the Great Gatsby, but the story is getting a sparkly new makeover when it hits the big screen this christmas!

The Gatsby trailer was released about a month ago and I have been obsessing over all things glittery, glamours and gatsby-esque ever since! Take a peak!

I think “sparkly” is the best way to describe this movie magic. So this marketing monday post, inspired by The Great Gatsby, is all about the roaring twenties featuring two looks filled with flapper flair. First up: fabulous fringe

Fringe dresses are a twenties inspired trend, but they can be updated for a more current look. Try pairing them with something unexpected like a leather jacket or a bold blazer. I payed homage to the classics by piling on the pearls and stepping into mary janes.

In honor of all the glitter and glitz displayed in the trailer, this next look is a more updated version of twenties style featuring lots of sparkle!

Blue velvet, Marina, Alloy

If you are going for a head to toe glittered look (shown) make sure to keep it monochromatic or stick with neutrals! Don’t be afraid to play with textures and proportions to keep it interesting, I paired a tiered skirt with nude fishnets!
