Pink at NYFW

22nd February 2017

Excited to share what I wore to the Cynthia Rowley presentation – as one of my favorite looks at NYFW! I love pink, but I actually don’t find myself wearing it as much as I would like. It’s a fun girly color that makes you feel instantly feminine when wearing it! This rings even more true when you pair it with a flirty ruffled skirt like this one!

It was pouring all day when I took this outfit for a twirl, so I paired it with faux suede over the knee boots, a light pink coat and a cute striped umbrella. For whatever reason, this looks give me serious gossip girl vibes. Maybe it’s the over the knee boots and a short skirt (very Serena) or the matchy-matchy pink and black (oh so Blair) or just the combo of the two. Growing up on GG, I remember googling and pinning Blair outfits on the reg, but now I think my style walks the line between these two on again off again BFFs, because I totally see elements of both in my wardrobe.

Gossip Girl is actually one of the reasons I continue to invest in bubble umbrellas (like my striped one). I bought my first bubble umbrella after watching Blair battle the rain with one – I was living in Arizona at the time where it hardly ever rained and when it did, we were never walking around in it, but since moving to NYC it’s become my bestie. A bubble umbrella is key to keeping your hair & look out of the elements while you wander around the city, so much so I had three different kinds hanging in my hall closet!
