prints and pearls

My looks have been a little over the top lately, so this one is a more simple, sophisticated and somewhat retro inspired look.
A little bit of leopard can go a long way, so sometimes its best to keep it minimal. But that doesn’t mean you have to be boring! Pick a theme, an era or an icon and channel it with your leopard. I choose the fifties (surprise, surprise) took on a mad men inspired look. check it out…

So today I am the lady in leopard with a splash of pearls and a dab of fifties flair.
To make a retro-inspired look current, start by using a classic silhouette, like a classic cardie and a full skirt.
Then pile on the jewelry or take a chance with fun accessories like polka dot tights. These unexpected touches will help keep it classy while making it current.
They say you are never truly dressed without a smile. I like to amend this statement to read, that you are never truly dressed without lipstick!
For this look, the perfect red/orange lip served both as my finishing touch and pop of color in an outfit full of neutrals (and yes, leopard is a neutral!).
