Omg Spring !!!!I’m totally in love with New York right now (even though my sinuses don’t really agree). The flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and everything is just so dang beautiful I really can’t take it … resulting in most mornings spent dancing and singing off-key through my neighborhood, I hope my neighbors don’t mind. Anyways, one of the best parts of spring? Floral dresses and I may have found the prettiest of them all!
I’m so crazy obsessed with the slightly off-the-shoulder-meets-boat-neck nature of this dress, plus the exploded floral print gives a modern twist to a betty-draper-esque silhouette! To play with the larger-than-life floralness going on here, I had to shoot with my new favorite apartment accessory – these giant red roses! So remember my earlier allergy comment? The sneeze struggle is real for me right now, and although I love waking up with roses next to my bed (yellow ones are my fav) I don’t like fighting through swollen, puffy eyes to see them – sexxaay. So really cool paper flowers make the perfect substitute, I think fake flowers can get kind cheesy looking unless you splurge for the really expensive ones, so I like that these flowers are obviously paper and oversized to make a super big statement.
