Okay so one of the saddest parts about being an adult has to be the lack of spring break in your life (boo), but if I was a super awesome college kid (or a teacher) I would be totally pumped for a week full of warm weather and no school… but instead I’m in my New York apartment watching Catfish, with no donut floatie in sight (well except for on my gram). So today, I’m playing pretend and showing you how to get spring break ready to strut your stuff in this darling VS pink bralette … the only thing I expect in return is an invite to wherever you are jet setting off too, I promise, I travel light 😉
Let’s get physical.. Eh that sounds like too much work, how about just beach bod ready. My secret’s out, I’m so not into the gym (about a year ago I gave up my membership to spend my Equinox budget on shoes, oops #prioirties) but I am into crop tops so when the weather warms up, I ditch the donuts (and by ditch I mean scale down to 2 week instead of the usual 4ishhh) and switch soda for water. Plus I sit on my exercise ball during Dance Moms and Scandal and Pretty Little Liars and The Voice (okay, okay, I have the worst taste in TV…don’t judge) instead of lounging on the couch per usual and do abs during the commercials, while Waffles stares and laughs at me. I’ll be honest, it’s not much, but I’m not trying to be a super model here so it does the job. The plus? This bralette when paired with a tank makes the cutest work out clothes, which for some serves as a little extra inspiration to push it to the limit.
When I was young(er) and cool(er) I was also crazy smart about packing for spring break. Pick a few super cute items like this darling bralette, a statement skirt & some heels and wear them multiple ways. This year, try to pick one piece to be the star of the show come spring bring and plan around it! A lace bralette is a good choice because it’s comes in crazy cute colors, is slim in your suitcase, is made of super soft eyelash lace and, drum roll please, its padded so NBN – No bra Necessary… woo (get your minds out of the gutter, not in a gross girl-gone-wild kind of way, but more in a I-don’t-have-to go-to-school-for-five-days-so-I-don’t-want-to-wear-a-bra-but-also-need-to-look-awesome, sort of way). Plus love the bralette just bare with anything high waisted (skirt, shorts, jeans .. anything) or under a tank or denim jacket for a little more coverage! I also like it with a high-waisted midi & heels for the perfect spring break party look Either way you rock it you’ll be the perfect mixture of sugar and spice for Spring Break!
What are you doing (and wearing) for spring break… and can I come with?
