Don’t let my serious kate spade collection or my obsessive-like-attachment to my Ted Baker skirt fool you, although these designs hold a crazy special place in my heart (and closet … and wallet), they don’t take the cake for the coveted place of my #1 fashion house… that spot is saved for the one and only Diane Von Furstenberg. DVF is not only my absolute favorite designer, but more importantly my favorite person in the entire fashion industry. I am just simply obsessed with all things DVF and today I’ll tell you why.

In my personal opinion she is the most influential women, designer, philanthropist, leader, business women, (stop me, because I could go on forever), trendsetter, stylist and all around red-lip-wearing superwoman around today. Not only did she define a generation and according to some, a gender-revolution with the introduction of her wrap dress all while looking super fabulous, but she transformed the meatpacking district in NY all while staying on top of the fashion industry with a heart of gold. blogger new york city blog new york city blog black bloggers nyc new york city fashion blog dvf wrap dress dvf wrap dress black white dvf wrap dress diane von furstenberg wrap dress diane von furstenberg dress black white dress blogger new york city blog new york city blog black bloggers nyc new york city fashion blog dvf wrap dress dvf wrap dress black white dvf wrap dress diane von furstenberg wrap dress diane von furstenberg dress black white dress With my serious girl crush on all the DVF, it was about time I got me a wrap dress and I’m more obsessed then I ever thought I could be. Any dress that shows off my smallest point while playing with pattern and having pockets its a clear winner in my <s>book</s> closet, plus the twirl-worthy & timeless nature of the dress makes it a serious investment piece you can keep until the end of time … and I intend to do just that 😉

DVF Wrap Dresses are perfect for work with a classy pump and a cardigan or weekend wear with a cool leather jacket and booties. One of my favorite features is the added fabric at the bust area, which lets you cover up for more conservative occasions or show a little skin if you’re stepping out for a night on the town. For these photos I set mine between the two, to get the deep v effect without being too revealing. Plus then I synced my waist like crazy before wrapping the dress to draw the eye to my smallest point!blogger new york city blog new york city blog black bloggers nyc new york city fashion blog dvf wrap dress dvf wrap dress black white dvf wrap dress diane von furstenberg wrap dress diane von furstenberg dress black white dress DVF Wrap Amelia Dress (also love this one) || Cherry Bomb Lipstick

I decided to DVF-up just in time, because last week the brands new reality/Courtney-dream-show, House of DVF premiered on E, adding a serious dash of glam to my usually depression filled Sunday nights. If you missed out, get caught up here & tune in this sunday at 10/9 C – I would love to hear what you think!
XOXO

Absolutely love this DVF wrap dress, you look so beautiful. I definitely agree with you, this is definitely an investment and timeless piece, I can totally see myself wearing this dress for years to come! Unfortunately I don’t get the E! channel in Abu Dhabi, you’re going to have to keep me updated with the House of DVF…haha! Thanks for sharing such a lovely look — Soraya

Thanks love! This was shot on a very very cold day (if the bloopers weren’t SOOO BAD i would have included them, ha) so Waffie was not going to bear the cold… even for DVF, what a diva.
