Color Me Keds!

Today Is a SUPER SPECIAL POST because I am so excited to kiss and tell about a really fun project eight months in the making! Today, I am finally able to share the COLOR ME KEDS that I DESIGNED and are now available for sale on keds.com – like, what!

Earlier this year, I skipped off to Boston with Keds to design a shoe, knowing it would be sold online sometime this Fall – and today is that day! Getting to design a shoe was really fun because I got to bring my life and style into a product that could be sold to other people with similarities.

My shoe is designed with my signature style in mind – although my name is “Color Me Courtney” I think there is nothing more timeless than black & white stripes, and if you check out my closet, you will find a series of stripey styles just waiting to be worn. I probably wear a black and white striped shirt once a week – the only thing I wear more than black and white stripes is a red lip, which leads me to my second signature.

Everyone woman can wear a red lip. It helps exude confidence, poise, class and style all while eluding to a sense of mystery, danger and whimsy. My red lipstick is such a signature of mine, that I wear it almost everyday, and it helps me make a serious statement throughout my looks! I knew I wanted to incorporate my red lipstick into my look because it is an empowering emblem for ladies throughout history and is a cute little reminder to kick up your heels, and make a statement!
