Hello Holidays!

It’s what some consider the most wonderful time of the year, but I’ll let you in on a little secret – I’m only in it for the food. There are so many wonderful things to be excited about this time of year, but I just want to eat and dress pretty, although if I’m being honest I really do that  all  year. Anyways – today I’m sharing 4 easy food fixes and accompanying outfits to rock this holiday season in partnership with  Kettle Brand.

SO this post was really fun for me to create for so many reasons – one of which being my chip addiction. So I have a real chip problem, especially with yummy Kettle Brand chips like these. I’ll sit there and eat a whole bag like it’s nothing and want to eat nothing else for days. I’m a monster. So I don’t usually keep chips in the house, if I buy them I usually buy small travel sized snack packs or pre-sort mine into bags as soon as they get into our apartment. I’ll only try to buy them when I’m on the go or for special occasions like a party or having people over so I don’t eat my weight in chips but for the purpose of this post I got to sample all of the current Kettle Brand flavors and have about 10 different bags of chips in my house at one time, all in the name of work 😉 needless to say this was one of my favorite partnerships to date and I hope you find it helpful, flavorful and above all FUN.

Okay, let’s get to it.

GAME NIGHTGame Night //  So like I mentioned I wanted to showcase four different ways to use Kettle Brand chips this season and outfits to match. First up, game night! One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is play board games! I’m extremely competitive so I don’t usually play with people outside my family for things can get ugly, and usually spend the next year apologizing for how I acted when I lost at monopoly last Christmas until it’s time to break out the board again. I don’t decimate when it comes to game options but I really love one called Dirty Marbles that is similar to sorry played on a carved wooden board with a of pretty painted marbles my mom had growing up. Kettle Brand chips made with almond oil are my latest obsession, they pair perfectly with an easy dip recipe and a side of total domination – see crazy competitive, I warned you!

What To Wear //  You can wear pretty much anything to game night. I’m usually in a track suit or something comfy that allows me the ability to perform consecutive victory dances, but if you have a little more class then that here’s a dressier option! I was inspired by the beautiful Kettle Brand bag to create a teal on teal (on teal on teal on teal) look that perfect for hosting – plus this skirt has pockets, so you can hide your lucky dice or extra cards in there if you need to cheat only kidding guys, cheating is wrong and I’ve never done it to destroy Paris in Yahtzee never, ever. This look (and the chip and dip combo) is also perfect for the night family arrives in town, people might be hungry from a flight and looking for something light to snack on.

LEFT OVERS

Left Over Eats //  If one of the best parts about the holidays is the big meal, left over sandwiches are a crazy close second. When I’m adult enough to cook for the holidays I know my only motivation will be that honey ham sandwich I’ll eat the next day, and the day after that. But what’s a sandwich without an epic side of chips? Nothing I say, absolutely nothing.Pair your left-over-wich Kettle Brand Sour Cream and Onion chips and thank me later.

What To Wear //  For me, the day after a big holiday is usually a day for no makeup and sweats, but I can understand wanting to be a little presentable in case you want to fight strangers at a big sale or show off your food baby in pubic. This cute green set (that I also bought in red) has you covered. I paired it with a simple white crop top and sneakers because it’s so graphic it didn’t need much. This is also a great look for any of your other post-feast activities like heading to a midday movie, taking a family walk, binge-watching your nephews favorite tv show or traveling back home, feeling full and happy.

BEST DRESSED GUESS

Best Dressed Guest //  Heading somewhere else for the holidays? Planning on showing up with a smile and expecting to be fed? I feel you girl and I envy your circumstances. BUT as a frequent host, I can’t tell you how nice it is when someone shows up with something else aside from a mouth full of teeth and a sparkling personality. I’m a giver, not at getter, so I don’t like to get a ton of gift-gifts (candies, scarfs, etc) when I’m hosting during the holidays. I would much rather someone show up with a bottle of wine or a bag of chips for me to add to the spread. One sure way to make your host smile, is to ring the doorbell with an unconventional take on wine and cheese. Pair Kettle Brand New York Cheddar chips with a bottle of your favorite wine (or in my case sparkling cider) and explain your gift to your hosts. Not only will it make them smile or laugh at little at your cheesy joke but they’ll also have something to put out or just chips to snack on after their guests have gone.

What To Wear //  I think this statement is only further echoed if you show up playing dress up as your New York Cheddar Chip bag, so I went full on yellow crazy with a mustard dress & coat. I added brighter pops with the shoes and belt to add some shade variation while keeping things bold!

NYE

NYE // So you’ve made it through the holidays and through 2018 – congrats! But you’re probably so sick of traditional food that you can’t even spell turkey so we’ve got you covered. Kettle Brand always does a really cool job of including fun food trends into their flavors, we saw that with the New York Cheddar and will again with one of my new favorite flavors, Korean Barbecue. This chip is perfect for pre NYE, when everyone meets at your place for a pre-party drink. Set them out with a few other fun flavors to try in a big bowl (extra points if you buy a glitter one) before stepping out to paint the town, well uh purple!

What to Wear // New Year’s Eve is basically your biggest chance to show the word the super extra disco queen you are, so dress like it. Sparkles, glitter, feathers are just a few of the extra extra elements you’ll find in this look. I went for two shimmery pieces (one is never enough) with the sequin dress and pump combo. Inspired by the bold hues of the Korean Barbecue bag, I stepped a bit out of my color comfort zone wearing purple – a hue I usually avoid. The lilac dress is offset by a lighter lavender belt, and deep purple feather coat.

Thanks for taking the time to read  and thank you to Kettle Brand for sponsoring this post. If I told you it was easy for me to talk about the holidays right now, I’d be lying. Playing board games or going to see movies with my brother was one of my favorite things about this season, and I don’t really know what the holidays look like without him. I hope you guys cherish the time with your loved ones this season, try not to take anything too seriously and just enjoy the moment. Also hoping your holidays are merry and bright.
