Hey cuties!

I’m super exited for todays post because it combines two things you guys have been asking for more of: cute places to take photos & multiple ways to wear one piece.

THE DREAM DRESS

When I was hunting for my lilac dream dress for our month of lilac, I found this cutie and fell head over heels. I mean it has some of the most darling details like the pleated purple tulle at the bottom and pip seam stitching throughout. Its also the best silhouette to buy because you can wear it so many ways all while making your waist look its bitty. I had to have it, but it’s a bit of a splurge so I only wanted to invest in it if I could see myself wearing it a bunch of ways. And luckily I could!

ONE DRESS 3 WAYS

So here are THREE WAYS TO ROCK IT.

A LITTLE BIT OF LILAC
The only thing better than a little lilac is a lot, so I paired this dress with purple pumps and a little white bag. Its perfect for brunch, a day date, or wandering the city when the weather is wonderful (like were having today in NYC). If splurging on the dress put a damp in your budget wear this same look but switch our your heels for white pumps you already have in your closet.

THE LOCATION
I always get a lot of questions about where I shoot my looks. 80% of the time I plan the backdrop before heading out to shoot, since I keep it colorful with what I wear and where I shoot I have to work really hard to find good locations. I usually scout once a week where I walk around for 3 ish hours looking for cool places to shoot – so I hope you notice all the work that might go into a photo 🙂 This morning I was shooting a stop motion video and saw this! Then Paris texted me from work (he went a different way after our shoot) to send me a photo of the location and my girls (lex, kelly & courtney) all sent it too! So funny! I love that some of my friends help scout for me. I went home a dropped my stuff from the shoot (tripod, clothes etc) and ran back over to shoot at the pop up!

BUT WHERE?
To get a similar shot head to the corner of 6th and prince as fast as you can! Its a pop up for a Tiffany launch that will be up till the 4th – but with these things the sooner the better! They have cute cabs and decor, you wont miss it.

DOs & DONTs
I did climb on the cab (worth it) and didn’t get in trouble for it, plus you can go inside the cab (just ask the guy) to get a cute shot. I also tried to pick up the prop but got busted, see below for some of the BTS to get these shots lol
