Mirror, Mirror

Mirror Mirror on the Wall, how do I make this outfit not boring, at all!

As you guys know, I keep it pretty colorful here at colormecourtney – hence the name. But sometimes I like to switch things up to keep you guys on your toes and today is one of those days!

It’s no secret that this look is all black, but that doesn’t mean it has to be bland! If you’re a color queen, looking to shelf her saturation for a serious switch up, you’re in luck! Here comes three ways to wear black without looking boring!

FullSizeRender 91 – Make a statement, or two, or three
All black doesn’t have to mean boring or basic, pair your look with a bold bag, statement shoes or some fun sunnies to add a little spark without any color. If you’re kind of over the top like me, you can wear all three because after all, more is more!FullSizeRender 14

2 – Show some skin
Break up your black with a little skin! Ripped knee jeans or an off the shoulder shirt are the perfect way to break up an otherwise solid black look.FullSizeRender 8FullSizeRender 7

3 – Do something with your hair
Call me crazy, but the outfit doesn’t always have to be the star of the show. When I rock something all black or more basic, I like to give another part of my look time to shine! In this case, it’s my hair! I switched up my normal style by doing two double dutch french braids to kick some boring #ootd but!FullSizeRender 15

Oh and if none of the above work for you, don’t fret – just get a frenchie (like you needed a reason 😉 !)FullSizeRender 13
