Tulle for two

Hey Cuties! I’m going to make a serious statement here, so listen up!!! every girl needs a tulle skirt. Okay okay, maybe not everrryyy girl but I really do think that if you have even the slightest of girly-girl tendencies, you need to get yourself one quick! For todays post I shot with my friend Keiko, her style is vintage inspired and ultra feminine so a tulle skirt is no stranger to her. We both have the same pink one from Blair’s (of Atlantic Pacific) nordstrom collection. And were originally going to style too looks with the same skirt, but since its sadly sold out (don’t worry I found you a similar one here) we decided to do two monochromatic pastel looks in blush and lavender.

Give tulle a chance:
A really easy way to try tulle without going overboard is to do it monochromatically. There is something so instantly chic about a monochromatic look that will let you feel fancy, without looking like a toddler. I think people are often scared to try a tulle look because of this fear, but adding more “adult” details like a faux fur, sleek tailoring or a boxy bag can also help you keep it age appropriate.

Meet Keiko!
For those of you who don’t know, this is Keiko! Before I even knew what blogging was I knew of Keiko. I found a photo of her when I googled “cat eye glasses” almost 10 years ago, then she popped up on my Pinterest and eventually I clicked through and started reading her blog before finding her on instagram probably 5 years ago now. Since I’ve been lucky enough to get to know her offline, and was surprised to find her even more magical IRL. Paris and I were talking about people we know to my mom over Christmas and the word he used to describe her was “special” and it was really quite accurate. I’ve never met anyone remotely like her, and I’ve only ever said that about 2 people before, her and my brother Trent. Keiko is truly unique as a creator and a friend. She’s been influencing others online far before that was actually a term and blogging before there was any money to be made. Her influence has outlasted many platforms that have since perished and many of her community have followed for nearly a decade. I consider myself extremely honored to know someone with such a unique point of view and a true artist. I hope only to give you the gift of knowing her through your screen too. If you don’t choose to follow her, you’re really missing out.
