Rain or Shine

These next two looks will help you create a weather proof look for either rain or shine!
this posts will show how to convert one item (the kate spade wynne dress) for any element mother nature chooses to throw at you! Tomorrow we will walk on sunshine, but today we’re singing in the rain with our wet weather look!
So lets get started by taking a look at how I used these pieces to weather the storm…

This dress is a great spring look, but I toned it down and darkened it up with bits of black
I paired black tights with ridding boots to keep my from slipping in a puddle
The black belt and necklace kept the color scheme going, while a black headband helped keep my hair in control despite the weather.
A pink contrast cardie plays off the colors in the dress while dressing down the overall look
I always layer on the bracelets, even with long sleeves by wearing them over the fabric.
I finished the look by pulling on a big black trench to stay dry!
I even added a vintage music note broach to my jacket for a bit of bling!

now let’s take that same look into a brighter place!
With a few basic pieces and fun touches, we’ll take this look from rain to shine. Take a peak at how it turned out…
once again I am putting the floral wynne dress to work for this sun worthy outfit
I paired it with cute and simple touches, starting with nude flats and one of my favorite vintage green clutches!
as you may have noticed, I am obsessed with new jean jacket!
I dressed up my jacket with chunky pearls and a big curly girlie pony!
I also piled on the bracelets (what else is new), I think it helped keep it more casual and fun!
A leopard belt also dressed down my look, I am really into pattern mixing and love that it adds another element of fun and a bit of edge to my otherwise flirty girlie look.
